FRESSEN

directed by Kevin Zimmer
camera Laure Estival

An abstract exploration of a romantic relationship marked by emotional imbalance. Through symbolic imagery and visual metaphors, the film portrays two individuals whose connection is defined by an unequal dynamic: one person continuously gives, offers, and sacrifices, while the other only receives. As the relationship unfolds, acts of affection, devotion, and selflessness are met with growing expectation and entitlement, revealing the fragile tension between love and exploitation. Without relying on conventional narrative, the film examines themes of dependency, emotional labor, and the gradual loss of self that can emerge when giving is not reciprocated.
